So i bought this truck a few months ago and the previous owner had swapped the truck from a 22RE to a 22R claiming that it was better offroad carbed :S. So the truck ran not great getting it home and when i got it home i took no time tearing the engine apart to replace the timing chain cover and some other stuff, however now that i have it back together i cant get it to idle. i have ordered a weber 38 carb, but while im waiting for it to show up id love to solve this problem. the truck will start and idle for 2-3 seconds but then it dies and i dont know why. i know its not a solenoid on the carb as i have checked the idle cut solenoid and wired it up myself, however i did notice that the fuel tank does have the electric fuel pump which is feeding the mechanical fuel pump?? would this contribute to the problem??
