Does anyone know where I can buy a brand new plastic speedometer gear? I've looked at napa, autozone, oreillys, marlin but no luck.

I have an 82 pickup, and have been going nuts trying to get the speedo going, just got to the gear, and it is cupped really bad.

If ever you can't find a part, check the dealership. Always. Then decide if it's too expensive and you maybe want to find a used one in good shape.

But really. The dealership is usually the first place I check, for vehicles like these. Then I check Marlin or Napa to see if a. it's even available aftermarket and b. if I can get it cheaper.

But of course you check the dealership.

Not sure what year your truck is, but scroll through the list, it has 80-82 manual, and auto trans.. Let me know if this right. Sub - gear assembly..

I called my dealership and they are back-ordered on the part nationwide, it cost $40.00, and you cannot do this over the phone because it is not a stocked item. Have to go in and pay in person and it could take 2 weeks to a month to get the part in.
