Question Power Steering Bracket

I got this bracket as part of the power steering setup I bought for my '81, but I can't figure out where it goes.

Can anyone shed some light on the subject. Also, any photos of the bracket in the right place would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I'll try to take a photo. Did you pull it off another truck? Best to take a photo beforehand... I remember looking at my manual and holding it all sorts of different ways for a while before finally figuring out how to get it on my truck.

Still haven't installed the rest of the power steering...

Thanks! I didn't pull the setup off the truck, it was shipped to me. I've got all the other pieces figured out, but that bracket I couldn't figure and I can't find any pics showing where it goes.

Yeah, and therefore this photo will only help so much...there's just no way for me to get in there with a camera. I remember just having to feel around for the hole, IYKWIM.

But this should get you going, anyways...

Yup, that looks like it's going to be a FUN one to get in there... Any tips to make the install go smoothly? Looks like the alternator bracket needs to be moved out of the way and then put back after the bracket is in place. Thanks again!

That would make it easier...I don't remember if I loosed up or removed the alternator. Almost positive I didn't remove it, but not sure about loosening.

I remember it being a bit of a pain. Just one of those things you've got to do blind. Feel around, find the hole, get your bolt through the hole in the bracket, then try to get it lined up in there and in the hole.
