OK Friends, I have a 86 PU with out AC. Has anyone ever pulled a Factory AC from another truck and installed in it theirs, if so how hard was it and what was needed?

Perhaps doing this is not to hard but there sure is a lot of labor involved !!

The hardest being to replace your heater box with the one with the evap coil in . Knowing you need to remove your old one remove the one from the parts vehicle install in your vehicle While it is out you may as well put a new heater core in

Then you need to find a parts vehicle with the AC system still closed so it is not full of all kinds of things . Then pull a vacuum to make sure you have no leaks in the coils before you start. Convert over to 134A

It is much easier to have the whole vehicle right at hand then buying parts here and there and running all around every time you forgot something

If I remember correctly, Toyota makes an OEM AC retrofit kit.
