Question Dash lights stay on after car is turned off

I knew if I could turn to somebody that would know what to do, it would be y'all. Had a lot of help with my runners n the past.

Anyway, have a 96 camry. Some of the dash lights want to stay on once we turn off the ignition. The first time it did it, the headlights, wipers, and ac fan stayed on, too. Turn the ignition on, turn it off a few times and they would go off. Then the crazy thing started doing it after we left it. Came out to go somewhere and the dash lights were on, but not enough juice to start the car.

We cleaned the terminal ends, no go. Ended up disconnecting the battery overnight. Everything was fine as showed up for work this morn. Checked it at lunch, and was completly dead.

Any ideas?!?!

I'm not sure but you'd probably have better luck on a Camry forum...if I had to guess I'd say check the ground for the fuse box.

The little catch in the ignition switch might be sticking, making it think a key is still there. Try raking the key to un-stick it. My 4runner does this from time to time. I can tell because the door-open-with-key-in-ignition chime buzzes with the key removed.
