looking to buy my first T4R, hows this?

Hey im a noob here and have been debating for about a month btwn a bronco or a 4runner but this site has got me sold on a 4r! Im from San Diego but im gonna be workin in KS for a month so rather than renting a vehicle I figured id buy one and drive it back. Im lookin at this one but there are some issues Im hoping you guys can help me with, first check it out:
91 Toyota 4runner
sounds great right? only problem is its got +400k on the chassis! can you believe that?! love it tho so im kinda worried about the transmission holding up (+200k) on it. The other thing is having it smog and reg in CA. Is there anything I can do or check to see if it will before I drive it back and find out its only good for parts here? Oh and will I have to pay taxes on it when I get it registered? Thanks for the help in advance! I have big plans for this rig starting with a chop and some rhino lining eeeeehehe! Im stoked on it just need one now! hows this one sound??

looks like a good 4Runner that could use some saggy butt help and minimal rust, on what i can see anyway. i would be stoked about this 4R and go take a look and see what you think. i dont know anything about CA smog though so cant help there.

Also, welcome to YotaTech!

if you're bringing it back to CA, you might want to consider a vehicle that's either from CA or can pass CA emissions - that right there could be a huge headache.

oh, and definitely go Toyota over anything else

I know it this emissions test has me worried! Do you think the custom short air intake is going to add to the head ache?

Welcome to YotaTech!

Good luck in picking the right rig but here are my two pieces of advice - don't rush into picking one just because you're excited and definitely don't use the T4R acronym.

The majority of us find it annoying and unnecessary.

Similar things for me are when people use "bc" or "b/c" instead of "because".

I mean, if you're so crunched for time that you can't type the full word out, you might want to loosen up your schedule.
