What radiator to buy for 88 P/U 4x4 MT?

What radiator to buy for 88 P/U 4x4 MT?
I have a 1988 P/U with a 22RE, 4x4, manual trans, and air conditioning. The radiator is leaking at the seam between the core and the tank on top. I'm obviously considering getting it repaired if the cost is resonable, but I'd like to know if anyone had any suggestions for a good replacement rad. I'm not looking for anything super high quality or dual core this and that, I just need something that is as good as original. I've checked with a couple local places and found one for $135, alum core with plastic tanks by a company that I can't remember the name.

If yours has the plastic tank on it, you can not fix the seam bewteen the two.
I have always had good luck ordering through Radiatorbarn.com. They break out their radiators by MT & AT. The also have a lot of "core" choices to choose from.

I got one from the bone yard. I had it professionally flushed. You can use an Automatic radiator. I got a auto radiator in my manual truck.
As far as new, I wouldnt know the best source.

radiatorbarn.com has plastic core radiator available for your truck for $98.93 including (free) shipping. All metal at $161.75.
I would advise against plastic cores--if only because "you never know." (but hey, maybe you do know!) When I bought my replacement radiator (csr "heavy duty," I think, and from radiatorbarn), I didn't know I was moving to Arizona. Then I so moved. I don't think I would feel too good about pounding around in the middle-of-nowhere-desert with plastic holding in all of that compressed steam. I've never, ever, had overheating problems--even at 120 degrees air temp, and me with tunnel vision, the truck is fine.

I got the Radiatorbarn.com heavy duty 3 core for the very same truck. All metal, nice quality and so far so good. It is a little tight to get the fan shroud and fan in though--it is a little thicker than the stocker.
You couldn't give me a plastic crimped radiator.

Got it form NAPA for less than $80:dunno
My tundra came w/ plastic from the factory, I'm sure the plastic ones last for a day or two, or at least long enough, so one can find one made out of titanium....

I have a plastic tank as well with a triple row aluminum core that I got off ebay for like $75 or something if I remember. I've got about 4-5000 miles on it now and it is holding up fine....I doubt it will last as long as the original but I had one on my 94 civic and it lasted a good 10 years.
