Ok so I put a window in the block of my 90 4runner! its a califorina smog truck. I picked up a good engine but it is not a cali smog motor. Should I just swap the long block or will the whole engine work we dont have smog testing here and would prefer not to run all the excess smog crap. any advice is would be great. Thanks in advance.

 

the smog devices are on the truck for the most part, if you use all the intake and vaccum stuff from the motor that comes out of the truck it will be ok. the core components (heads block) are the same it is components attached that increase the vehicles abilitys to pass smog testing (cat, egr type, and stuff)
