1990 4X4 Truck Automatic

After many weeks of searching....I finally found a A340H transmission for my truck. Last Saturday, I switched it out...it went faster this time, since the one in the truck was one I installed originally. Now for the problem....I have trans fluid coming out somewhere.....seems to be on the passenger side and bottom. Yesterday I crawled under it to try and find where it was coming from...wiped everything off....started it up.....and I can't see where it coming from. If I drive it to work, and back (about 90 miles roundtrip) it will leak out about a half quart....I am stumped....

Jack up all the tires. Put a piece of cardboard under the transmission and put it in drive. Just let the back tires spin a little bit. Where ever its dropping at look a lil closer. This time you won't have the wind spraying it around.

Make sure you wipe it down real good before hand.

May not be the right way. But that's the way I'd do it.

Thanks for the reply....I wiped everything off....jacked up the rear tires (front driveshaft is out).....and it appears to be coming out of the little hole (slot) in the bottom of the bell housing.... it dosen't leak much just sitting at idle....but when I get to work (45miles) it is dripping and will leave a little puddle....I think my worst fears are being realized and I am going to have to pull it back out and put a pump seal in it......
