My igniter went out on my 92 pickup with a 3.0, and I went and got a used one at a used parts place. It turns out their computer does not correctly list coils and igniters. The one I got is pretty much identical to the one I was replacing, but it has different part numbers and slightly different connectors. I believe was off of a 95 4 Runner. Anyone know if the igniter I bought will work with my 3.0? I would be able to make it fit by shaving off a couple plastic tabs on the connector and getting a different high tension wire.

The part number on my 92 PU is 89621-12050
The part number of the used igniter is 89521-30010

It is not worth bringing back with the 50% restocking fee plus gas. Lesson learned - check the part numbers!
