**SOLD**Built 1986 Turbo SR5 4Runner! **SOLD**

SOLD

Up for sale is my fully built and ultra rare 1986 Turbo SR5 4Runner. This 4Runner was built right with the focus of having a VERY capable, and dependable trail rig that can be driven to and from the trails in comfort, while being a reliable daily driver. I have put countless hours and a considerable amount of money into this 4Runner. It has run Holy Cross, Chinaman’s and Trough Trail numerous times, taking all the hard lines and making it look easy. Anyone who has seen this rig in person can attest to how well it works!

The Vehicle
1986 Toyota Turbo SR5 Automatic 4Runner. The Turbo 4Runner was the top of the line option. It has the digital gauge cluster, tilt-o-meter/altimeter, power windows, power door locks, SR5 seats w/ Turbo embroidered into them, removable top, sunroof and special door panels. The odometer reads 248,631, which is not correct. The speedo cable broke earlier this year, so I am guessing that it is closer to 258,000. This 4Runner is about the cleanest example your going to find!

The Engine
LC Engineering short block bored .030 over, installed around 200k (before I bought it)
Mobil 1 Synthetic oil used since I bought it, replaced every 3000 miles

True Flow air filter
Turbo back 3” exhaust w/ flex and turbo muffler – NO CAT
Red Top Optima
HKS Turbo Timer
Auto Meter Cobalt digital EGT Gauge
Bolted motor mounts
Gen-Right hood louvers
I removed the turbo about two years ago, the turbo checked out good (end play, no cracks, etc). I replaced the exhaust manifold gasket and all related turbo gaskets/seals.

The Bad
-Exhaust does not have cat. It runs great, but I have never had an emissions test. If you have emission testing, it will need a cat installed. It is your responsibility to pass emissions, not mine.

-Both driver and passenger side door weather seals could use replacing

I love 1st Gen 4Runners, they are my favorite! It's time to move on to something a little newer.

That's part of it, it really comes down to having an all around rig that can pull a trailer and be comfortable at the same time.

Wow awesome 4runner. If I had the money, I'd snatch that right up! A couple ?'s if you dont mind. How do you like the auto over a manual? Recently seen a turbo Runner on CL for dirt cheap, and it was auto; was thinking about getting it too. And are those the HIDs from Kragen, btw? How do you like them?

Thanks! The auto is awesome, especially on the trail. I got the lights at Autozone, they are great for the price. Super bright!
