22RE Oil Pump Installation

How do u line the two triangles up on the oil pump gears and do they face inwards toward the engine or outwards toward the radiator.

So does this mean that the arrows face in toward the engine when installed on the engine.

yes facing the block ....NOT facing the pump housing.....in other words ...so you can see them

so the arrows mean nothing except I should be seeing them (facing me) but they don't have to line up with anything. right?[/COLOR]

please see the quote from Ted at ENGNBLDR from that link I posted

Yes, that is correct. The gears are directional, as long as you can see the arrows that is all there is to it.

funny thing is the guys at pirate seem to believe it doesn't matter but..... maybe that's the same thing as it doesn't matter if they line up or not just be able to see em.

that's pretty much what TED said.....just be able to see them....each arrow in that oic is stamped just under the tooth, so there is no real was to line them up....always gonna fall before or after
