engine stumbles (22re)

The truck runs very well, but when i shift into 2nd and 3rd at a certain rpm range, i dont know exact because i dont have a tach. It feels like the engine stumbles and loses power but then goes right back to normal and speeds off.
The engine runs fine all the time other than at that certain rpm range. Anyone have an y advice

Im just throwing out ideas, when was the last time it had a complete tune up including the fuel filter ?, remove the throttle body and give it a good cleaning, and make sure the vacuum ports are not plugged, check all the vacuum lines for leaks.

Mine stumbled when my plugs got fouled, new plugs stopped the stumbling. Also my O2 wire was being melted near the cat and had exposed wire, had to reseal and relocate the wire cause it was not secure. Don't know if it was the cause but it wasn't helping.

My 22RE engine stumbled (usually in 5th gear when passing other vehicles) because the TPS was shot and needed to be replaced.

update on what i have done. I checked the throttle boby and it was a little dirty so i used amsoil power foam. it then started to run worse. so i pulled the spark plugs and the number 4 cyclinder was extremely dirty. So i changed the plugs and it runs like a champion. thanks for the responses

Thanks for the solution to this.

Though I have to wonder why it was so dirty in there. Have you set your timing with a timing light and adjusted your valves recently?
