So I am swapping over to Engnbldr's 261 cam and Pro head. Everything is going well, albeit taking a little too long while I am in "relaxation" mode (so far 4+ hours to remove everything, swap parts over, install and torque new head), except I "misplaced" the "hidden" bolt for the front of the head to the timing chain cover.

I know it is a little over 2 3/8 inches (60mm +) BUT this is all I know. Any help would be appreciated, so I can quickly hit up the hardware store and get this vehicle drivable again.

Id call your local dealer. Getting the RIGHT bolt from a hardware store may be tricky

 

M8/1.25x30mm, 12ft/lbs of torque

 

I'd be worried about the missing bolt. It's big enough to cause problems if it fell inside the engine.

More than likely, it fell into the oil pan, where it'll rest on the bottom of the pan, lol. Or he just lost it. Not really anywhere else for it to go.

 

I don't need to worry about it. It came out attached to the end of a magnet, and went into a pocket. That pocket also had a small black hole in it. Who'da thunk?
