Engine dies

I have a 92 V6 auto 4x4 4runner and have changed all fluids, done the timing belt, water pump, thermostat. Did the valve cover gaskets, pcv valve. It starts up fine idles fine but when i step on the gas hard and let off the gas it suddenly dies. Only thing i can think of is i was going to clean the maf (which it doesn't have i found out) just a AFM and undid those 2 screws you aren't supposed to touch, and pulled out the connector a little bit and put it back in. could this be my problem? i have a used one coming also a new 02 sensor as well. I tried to pull the codes but none were there? any thoughts where i should try to determine what is causing this???

That`s your problem right there, you probably broke the contacts loose when you pulled the plug out of the AFM. You can take the top off of the AFM and try and resolder the conections, but if you can`t you will have to replace the AFM.
