Question question about rear anti lock?

Hey there, this morning when i started my 4runner, my rear anti-lock kight came on and has stayed on since... I haven't driven over anything and not been offroading at all. There is one thing to note, our temperature last night got to below -40C, plus the windchill, so it has been a bloody cold week for us in Winnipeg!
Is it possible that the reason the light is on is due to them (the brakes), or the sensor being frozen?
Brakes seem to work okay, no fluids on the ground.

Thanx in advance for any advice.

If it still does is when its warmer (I know its bloody cold here in the 204) it is more than likely the speed sensor. mine did this and and I just bought a used one ($30) it is located in the rear diff on top.

How many km's on your truck. it is really simple to replace. if you can get a hair dryer on it to warm it up then check also check the connections (plug) but I wouldn't worry about it unless you have a heated shop just wait till its warmer so march/april hahaha.

Hope this helps.

From: Nashville TN. I can help you if you're close BUT NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T FILL YOUR LOCATION IN!
Take the plug out, clean the metal shavings off the end and put it back in...

See if that helps

168,000KM on it, and no heated shop for awhile. I ain't paying to rent space in a garage to warm up my truck to work on it. So I guess i'll have to wait until spring.

For the record, wind chill does not affect metal. Only humans and other animals.
