i am doing a manual hub conversion as soon as i can locate the parts to do it. i have the hubs that i am rebuilding. i dont want to do it the hose clamp way, i was wondering if anyone has a part number for either an auto parts store or for toyota itself for the long side cv shaft. i need the solid one not the one for the automatic hubs. its late and im getting tired and cant search the internet anymore.


btw i would go to the local pick yard but they havent had any older toyo's the last couple times that i have been thanks in advance guys

 

uhm....there is no "long cv shaft"

both are the exact same length.

you're talking about the NON-ADD axle tube, and it's not something you can get from any parts store.

Junkyard or someone parting out a vehicle with manual hubs is the only place.



from a dealer (if it's possible....) it would likely be well over $500.

 

Iv got a buddy that did an auto hub swap and hes always having issues with it! no saying if he did it right or not. but i think the easier and cheaper way would be bring a buddy and make them lock them in. Our rule is if you ridding in the passenger seat you get to lock hubs and hook tow straps lol

 

i would edit your post buddy. No cussing aloud on the boards.



why the heck would someone swap to automatic hubs? i believe they were worse than the ADD hubs! lol

You'll need one of each:


You should be able to use 4 grade 8.8 or 10.9 M12x1.25 flange bolts from the hardware store for part # 90105-12106. If you don't have some handy.

i was told as long as nothing is leaking...simply unbolt the ADD tube, bolt up the Non-ADD tube, bolt up your cv, install manual hubs, and have at it!

 

thank you mudhippy that is exactly what i was looking for a michrofiche. where did you find that i couldnt seem to find toyota michrofiches online. and i agree with you guys putting add hubs on would be dumb but im taking my add hubs off and putting the manual or locking hubs on. sorry for the confusion. thanks again mudhippy

For part numbers:
1. Copy the PNC found for part
2. Go to ToyoDIY.com
3. Search for the vehicle in question
4. Using the same routes as you did on TPZ find the appropriate part #, or simply paste the PNC in the "Search parts" box
5. Return to TPZ, or other online OEM parts distributor, and confirm the part #

PNC = Part Name Code. It's the number denoting the particular part, or group of parts, found in the schematic diagram.
