truck wont start even with new battery and no sound/noise of any sort
I got a 99 tacoma 2.7 prerunner. First I though it was just a bad battery but when I purchased a new one and put it in it still didnt work. there's no noise or sound when turning on the ignition. Completely quiet like there's something else wrong but I cant seem to find the problem. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

does your headlights and other electrical stuff work? If so then it's not your fusible link. Maybe bad starter contacts, but with those bad you generally have at least some clicking going on.

Does not anyone check or trouble shoot anything at all .
I truly wish I had the money to do that it must be nice.
If it does nothing I would look long and hard at the ground cable.
As stated do you have any electrical power at all .
What was going on just before you needed the new battery
Do you have a Multimeter????

nothing seemed to be wrong except bad battery. Its been low and I had to jump start it about three weeks ago after a long weekend of not driving it so I knew I had to change it sometime soon and then one day it didnt start. I figure it I needed a new battery anyways so I went and got a new one but when I placed it in nothing worked. No lights, no power. Like its completely dead. Probably gonna have to check it again.

Like wyoming9 said, check your ground, my wife called me one day and told me that her 4 runner wouldn't start and it did the same thing, no lights or power at all. Got my DMM out and checked the battery and found 12 volts, checked negative post to negative cable and found a huge volt drop, removed the negative cable and looked underneath and found the terminal cracked, most likely from all the corrosion on it from the previous owners lack of maintenance.
