I just replaced the brake line to the rear brakes. I got everything going and needed to bleed the brakes. I started with the PR and started bleeding and it drips out. I did the DR and still dripped out. I then tried bleeding the LSPV and bled just fine and shot out. I tried bleeding the back brakes again and still just drip out. The brake pedal gets tight but i'm worried they aren't bled. So, what do I do? It could be the LSPV is shot, the line to the junction block is clogged, the junction block is clogged/shot) Its either of those three things. Unless the bleeders were both clogged themselves? (they had the rubber caps on them) What do you suggest i do?

Is it possible that there is so much air in the system back there that you aren't getting good flow yet?

 

You're doing this with the wheels on the ground or jack stands under the rear axle, correct? Maybe you should have someone pumping the brakes while you work the bleeders

 

When I did mine last time the rears just dripped also. I pulled the bleeders and cleaned them with a tooth pick and hot water, they were just packed full of road dirt and stuff.

 

I would try Junkers idea, just try to clean the bleeders, or get new ones, cause that's cheapest. However, the LSPV is still a possibility. Mine was rusted and not flowing on my '83, and it's been a SoCal truck it's whole life, so I know up there in lovely Salem some rust could develop.

It's a lil messy, but you could also try pumping the brakes once without any bleeder in place and see what kind of flow there is. Could rule out the LSPV and the junction block for just the cost of some brake fluid.
