Making Custom bumpers. how to mount securly

im making custom bumpers side step and tire racks for my toyota truck. but for the front bumper im not sure where i need to make the mounts at. i want it secure and strong. the only thing i see is the frame. i will be putting a winch in aswell. i will have pics up soon so yall can see more of what im making. if anyone has made there own i wouldn't mind getting some advice, thanks

Here is how I mounted my front bumper about 13 years ago:

Just used all the factory bolt holes I could get to, bumper mounts, tow hooks and then added sleeves and large bolts though the front body mounts. I have since raised it 2" but it is still mounted nearly the same.

thanks for the detailed pictures they help. and did you make the bumper yourself i saw the diamond plate, and im wanting to something like that myself where can i get diamond plate steel at?

I believe places like Ace Hardwear and Home Depot sell diamond plate

i checked 3 lowes. they don't carry diamond plate just small aluminum sheets. ill check ace see if i get any luck

Check the phone book for a steel supply shop or call a local machine shop and ask where to get steel stock.

I built a bumper for my friends truck using a Trail-gear mount. The mount ended up bending so I welded on 4 more mounting points to the frame and bolted the mount back on. Its much more sturdy now. Unfortunately I dont think I have a picture of that I did.
