Toyota needs NGK. Even a Toyota tech will tell you NGK is the only thing if you want it to run as designed.

Red face

I just use the Toyota wires and plugs anymore.

I had so many problems with the after market wires I switched to Toyota wires and the problems went away.

The price is on par with a good set of after market wires.

NGK plugs and wires. No need to get anything more than that. They can be found at most auto parts stores.

to put in my 2 cents... I have a 93 v6 pickup. I had the napa lifetime warranty wires, and Bosch+4 plugs. I was having weird mis fire conditions, and a huge hesitation at lower rpms. I took it to multiple mechanics who never could figure it out. So I finally snapped and took it to the toyota dealer. The mechanic instantly started taking my plugs out and replaced them with stock ngk's and new toyota wires. He went with me for a test drive, and explained that he has seen this for years now. My truck has never ran better since. I will never buy anything but toyota stuff now. It just works.

Does Toyota use NGK wires too or just plugs?

Anyone have any experience with the new NGK Iradium Plugs?

Try to use the V-Power NGK plugs in our old tired engines if you can. The Iridiums will burn too hot for our engines (Unless you have done other modifications).

I Put in V-Power NGK Plugs Part #1233 and BWD Select Wires #CH5414
This is for my Gas Powered 22re btw
