I just bought a 1982 4x4 it's got a rebuilt 22r with 20r head the guy but the 22r block off somebody else so not sure what year it is I also have a 1985 with the 22re and was hoping to swap the fuel injection from the 85 to the rebuilt 22r in the 82 anybody help on where to get info on doing this

 

If I remember correctly it can't be done. There are two different styles of 22R's. An early and a late, with the late style starting production in May of 1984. the intake ports on them are different, so you can't put a late style intake system(Your EFI set up) on an early style motor(The 22R in your 82.) However, you could swap the whole 85 motor into the 82 if you had the whole harness and all of that good stuff.
