Gear Oil Questions for Auburn Limited Slip

I just got done purchasing an axle that has a confirmed Auburn clutch type LSD that I plan on putting in my truck.

My question is: Is it safe to use the gear oils that already have "Limited Slip" on the label or should I just buy normal gear oil and buy the separate tubes of friction modifier?

Any first hand experience is greatly appreciated!

Im not sure if the Auburn LSD's are similar to the trutracs, but I used Valvoline regular gear oil for my trutrac and locker and never had a problem.

My buddy has a Kaaz 2 way LSD in his 240sx and swears he has to uses redline LSD fluid.

Im not familiar with the Auburn LSD's, but if they are clutch type LSD's, then you might need the LSD fluid.

Auburn recommends using additive but there are gear oils on the market that say they are safe for limited slips already. im leaning toward buying the additive and adding myself since I have not seen any reports on the bottle claims being true
