first gen rear cab curtain info

Does anyone know of a company who builds a soft curtain that will seal off the back of a first gen 4runner cab, essentially turning it into a pickup?? I don't want a Can Bak or soft top that totally encloses the rear passenger compartment, just something that will seal off the front passenger seats from the rest of the interior. I have done internet searches and don't even know the proper term for this equipment. Any help would be appreciated.

No such beast exists in production, as there really isn't much following for such a thing.

You will have to manufacture your own. Then make a build up thread and post pics!

check out your local auto upohlstry (sp?) or boat top company...something like this would be a no brainer for them.

curious to see what you come up with...you can find them all day long for Heeps

There used to be a cover that went behind the cab and then covered the whole bed area. I've seen them used in the way you describe with the bed part rolled up behind the seats, however I think they are out of production, I have'nt seen one in yrs.
dropzone's idea is the best and probably cheapest too. any boat top maker can whip one up out of sunbrella canvas in no time with a window in it too if you want.

Ive always wanted to make something out of sheet metal that would bolt behind the front two seats to make it into a pickup. I was looking into using a rear window off of a pickup also. Im afraid to take my top off here in southern California without having something missing when I return

I like it. $450 seems a little steep though. Id love to make that out of sheet metal and graft a pick up window into it

you should just go to a junkyard, and just see if you can cut the back off a pickup, then bring it home, shape it up, and get some dupli color rattle cans that match your 4runner

That $450 seems to include a bikini top as well as the divider, so it sounds like a fair albeit pricey price.

Here is the link for the divider alone http://www.killertoytops.com/?q=node/32 $295
