Weber and vacuum advance and weber fuel pump

On an 84 22r, when hooking up a Weber 38, it seems that everyone agrees to use the vac advance from the distributor that is closest to the grill. The one behind it is for high altitude correction? What happens if both are hooked up? At this time, both of them T into one line and then that is going to the Weber 38.

What would this do to the operation of the engine?

Anyone using a weber fuel pump? Does it matter if its mounted near the tank or close to the carb?

Thanks

I did find out that the fuel pump should be close to the tank according to LC engineering, and I read that the HAC line pulls more vac than the other one. However, it tends to go out so it might not be an issue with my setup.
