I got the the tune-up done and its running GREAT...I was just thinking it would help prolong the life of the engine and its components.

Surprisingly after all that work...my mileage still isn't up to par....weird.

fink,

c'mon now, you've been here too long! search your own question. there are two threads (one of which you started) that addresses your same question and others have given their results.

One thing to add to what I had said in the other MPG thread is that I've since been pointed to Auto-Rx. It's said to do a much better job than Engine Restorer.

The downside is that it's expensive in terms of how it needs to be "applied":
http://www.auto-rx.com/pages/applications.htm

To save you the counting, if you have over 100,000 miles on the engine, you're going to go through:
  • Two bottles of Auto-Rx
  • Four oil filters
  • Two oil changes

I wasn't asking if the Engine Restorer would improve my gas mileage.

And yes Toyo...its worse than yours, ~12MPG city.

I was just wondering if it would help renew the parts internally and essentially make everything last longer...

I tried searching but once again could not find a straight to the point yes or no...

Thanks for the replies and suggestions,

Fink

Yes, it will. But Auto-Rx does it better.
