Made these this past winter, first run with them was the Armed Forces Day Parade in Bremerton with the 4x4 club I'm in, The Quadrapaws!

IMHO I think this kind of half door style is the best. Other than tube doors. But these ones tend to keep the mud out more.

whats your latch system like? thats always been an iffy aspect of halfies..

 

I used the stock latch, moved the handle, and used the rod from the lock, the length was perfect. Just had to cut out a small enough space to fit the handle in and screwed it down.




Used some scrap aluminum to panel the inside, still need to clean it up a bit, but very pleased with how it came out.

 

verrrrry nice! im about a quarter of the way through my half doors... made the cut on the outside, then been looking at it ever since haha!!

 

thats a nice way to do it.. im gonna have to keep that in mind during my halfie build..

i think it would be awesome if you can rig the rods to the mirrors.. so you pull on the mirror and she opens.. also some cupholders ofcourse

Yea im building half doors front and rear for my 4runner.
