94 4Runner Badlands flat-top tube bumper.

I bumped a tree at about 2mph and crushed the stock front bumber. So Jeff at Badlands Bumpers hooked me up with this "flat-top tube bumper" with a 2" reciever instead of the usual winch mount.

My wife was driving around Oak Harbor WA today and got pulled over. The cop told her that this bumper was illeagle. Annyone else run into this in Washington or Oregon States? I ask about Oregon because it's curently registered in Oregon.

I am. I love mine. Ive been stopped once, but the officer was on a tangent about how NONE of my bumpers are legal, my hella's have to be covered... etc etc.

But other than that, ive been pulled over for OTHER things and ive had compliments on the front bumper an my rig.

What where their justifications? did they give a ticket?

bumper needs to be 4" tall all the way accross and no higher the 28" off the ground.

Google maps shows your Runner parked in the driveway. Neat.

Thanks for the address tip. I didn't realize that it was there for all you goons to see. Glad I could entertain...

I don't really want to -F- up my bumper by welding another dang tube to it. Does anyone know Oregon's laws? I plan to move back to Oregon once I find a job there.
