previous owner did a ghetto engine swap to a 22r did have a 20r but got swapped he was acarpenter who knew nothing about motor swaps

looks like somebody swapped in the title wheel and tach

'79s have 4:34's. That 22R swap can be excellent, I swapped out to a 22r in my '79. The major problems with that swap a re electrical, most of the harness plugs are different on the '79 pickup than on most 22R motors. To correct, go cut a full harness out of a '81 or an '82, and swap plugs at need. Smog is a bitch, the 22R comp is way different than the 20r comp. If you are just using it for offroad, get EGR and PAIR blockoff plates, and de-smog.

GOOD TIMES!

My Junk is a 79 LB too well it used to be I have a 85 22re now 84sfa 88rearaxle 89w56 TG springs tons of other not original 79 stuff haha not much of a 79 any more....

also I have the intrument cluster thingy your missing my interrior has been gutted for a custom look PM me if you want work something out
