1983 Toyota Hilux 4x4. 130,xxx miles A/C & Heat work lots of new parts. I was going to build a trail truck but plans changed. New rough country 3 in lift with new shocks, steering dampener, and stainless steel brake lines. The front axle has been gone through with new seals and new bearings. I upgraded the front brakes to vented rotors and v6 calipers, installed rock rings, and backing plate eliminators. New brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, and clutch slave, new factory Toyota igniter and coil, have a new uninstalled front axle truss that goes with it. New rear wheel cylinder, brake shoes, and spring kit. Brakes work great. There is a new Weber carburetor with Offenhauser intake manifold (new intake manifold studs and carburetor studs) and a flowmaster muffler. I will throw in a header that is uninstalled. There is a new windshield and rubber seal installed last year. The truck has a plastic bed liner and light/roll bar in the bed. There are custom tube bumpers front (with winch plate) and rear (2 d-ring mounts). I installed 2nd generation 4runner seats that are in great shape. I installed a new copper brass radiator, new drive belts and hoses. The timing chain was replaced by the previous owner. There are new black procomp crawler rims, The tires are wrangler mtrs 32x11.5x15 85% left on 2 65% tread left on other two (they still have a lot of life on them)

This is a deluxe truck with a 5 speed extra gauges(oil pressure and volts) under the ac controls. Clarion CD player and Nissan pathfinder center console.

it sounds like a great 1st Gen. I would recommend that you upload some pictures to a free service like photobucket so that you can post the [IMG] code to your thread to high light more of the detail of the truck...

if your not getting any responses, try posting it to your local craigslist. that way everyone on there is looking for a truck. if i didnt buy a truck recently, id be all over it. looks nice man.

 

That is a really nice looking first gen. Those pictures do it much more justice than the first. I would suggest trying the forums over at Marlin Crawler. Those guys are coo coo for cocoa puffs for first gens. I can post it up there for you if you'd like, since you have to have a minimum number of posts to make a classifieds ad.

bump will consider stock tacomas 96 and newer 4 or v6 auto only if v6either if 5 speed. let me know what you got...might even consider 2000 and up ford rangers.
