I've been searching for the past week or so and have been unsuccessful in finding the exact amount of each in cab light bulb and their sizes ie, instrument, a/c, window, clock, dome, map, etc for my 92 4Runner. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I wouldn't mind pulling my dash apart but that would be senseless to do so then to put it back together just to take it apart to replace all the bulbs with led's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Funny, I pulled mine apart a couple weeks ago to replace bulbs.

There were 4 or 5 larger ones in the gauge cluster for general backlighting and one smaller one for each of the warning lights (brake, CEL, 4WD etc.) There was only one smaller one for the HVAC controls. Sorry I dont have numbers, I just took them to the dealer and said "I need these".


Edit: I just re-read your post. You have a 92 and mine is an 89, my dash may be different from yours.

Found a write up on this searching "LED" in about 30 seconds.

 

Believe me, I searched numerous threads with "LED" included in the thread but nothing led me to what I'd like to know. Plenty of later model Runners but nothing for mine unless I looked right past some. I went through all 10 pages after searching just "LED" but turned up empty handed

 

i have a 92 too, and i've searched for 2nd gen bulb counts... they're all 3rd gens.

I used to have a picture on my phone of the SR5 Gauages, but its gone now... all I know is that the climate control is a 74 bulb

Guess maybe I'll be pulling my dash apart to figure this out.

 

The bulbs are 194s and 74s i believe.

 

Any idea on how many of each there may be?

 

Theres a thread on here about putting LEDs in your gauge cluster and it says how many bulbs are in the cluster, but ill tell you what i remember.

5 #194s and I think 3 #74s.
Id get like 7 #194 bulbs and 5 #74 bulbs just in case.

I dont think there are any #74s in the cluster. Heater controls, key light on the collom, ash tray are all #74s, I think the glove box is a 194.
