3.4 Swap- Oil pressure switch

Hey guys I am new to the forums and am in need of a little help. I have a 89 Toyota pickup 4x4 with a 3.0 that has a burnt valve a picked up with a 3.4 with low mileage that needs to be swapped in. I have everything close to drop in I am just confused on which oil pressure gauge to use as I pulled a sr5 dash with a tach and gauges from an 89 with the v6 motor and sender missing. Should I just get a sender from an 89 from autozone and change the connector? Thanks for the help.

Just make sure you get the oil pressure sending unit and not the oil pressure switch. If you use the switch with your gauge package, you'll likely fry the oil pressure gauge.

You want to use a 3.0 SR5 oil sender. The non SR5 switch will not work. If you use the 3.4 sender you will fry your dash gauge.

Don't forget to add your 10k resistor to the dash for the tach.
