Can someone identify these 2 plugs that are taped up and not currently being used. I'm installing a/c on a non-a/c truck and need to know which is which. One I know goes to a vacuum switching valve...but not sure which one, and whatever the other one is?? This is in between the valve cover and upper intake manifold and taped out of the way by the factory.

I know where the a/c clutch power wire is...it is tied out of the way in the same manner, but that one is easily identifiable.

 

I'm not sure what they are, but I have that same white one on my truck that is not plugged in either. I don't know about yours, but mine comes from the harness that has the CS injector, EGR sensor, and #3 and #4 cyclinders. I'm not sure what it is, but my truck is base model and I'm guessing it's a plug for something not used. Maybe this is the A/C plug, cause my truck does not have A/C and this is the only plug not used in my harness.

I have one for the EGR that is plugged in on top of the valve cover, but those 2 are tied away in that valley area by the fuel injectors. I know one of them will go to the vacuum switching valve for the A/C, but what is the other one? I'll go grab a pic further out...

one's definately for the AC idle-up VCV, becuase you don't have the VCV there, which is why the plug wouldn't be plugged into anything

The 2nd one being there confuses me though...

by it's position, it looks like either a fuel injector plug, or a plug to one of the temp senders facing forward on the lower intake manifold; can't tell if thei're all pluged in from the pic

 

It's never been plugged in. You can see it taped in a little folded pattern there and appears to be done by the factory (the rearward plug). Dunno...pretty sure the plug that is light gray (forward) is the one that goes to the VSV.

 

I see a white and a gray plug. I still don't know what they are for, but whenever you figure out the white one, will ya let me know? Lol.

 

One is light gray and the other is dark. 90% sure the lighter gray plug is the one for the VSV, which is all I need to know. No idea what the other one is for, if I find out I'll post back.
