front axle seal bad? can i still drive?

came out tonight to get in my truck and there's a huge puddle of oil under my RF wheel. i'm assuming its the seal. if its not in 4wd then nothing is turning in the front end except just the hubs right? if so then could i still drive my truck?

yea, the inner axle seal is bad, and the only way to fix it is to take the axle a part to replace the seal, but you can still drive it but its going to leak oil and sling it all over the place, so fix it as soon as you can.

A puddle all of a sudden? Doesn't sound like a seal. Did you hit something hard? Sure its gear oil? I'd check your brake fluid level and make sure you have a good brake pedal before driving it. Are you getting any sounds or odd smells when driving it?
If it is the axle seal its drivable in 2wd but your brake pads are going to get oily.
