3" of hard lift... how does high-steer fit?
Trail gear states that you need a minimum of 4" of lift in order for the drag link to clear the oil pan. I can't find any info on the all pro off road kit minimum lift requirements. I see a possible dropped pitman arm as a solution but i wanna see if anyone is sporting high-steer with 3" of lift or less. Thanks

All-Pro, Marlin, and TG and most, if not all highsteer arms need 4". They are all built to just clear the springs, so they are all very similar and work in the same way.
What lift are you running?

I have a 3" Rough Country lift. Right now i don't want to lift it anymore as its drives great. I don't want to screw with driveline angles and such. 4X4YOTA, im only concerned that maybe your geometry is a little different between your 81 and my 85. Just trying to think this out, won't a dropped pitman arm as well as mounting the steering box as low and as forward remedy this?

Scotty, im running a 3" rough country lift. Also, now im reading that you need a 4" SUSPENSION lift, not lets say a 3" suspension lift and a 1" bodylift. Any chance for confirmation? thanks

It all looks too expensive or too time consuming to get 1 more inch of suspension lift. Still looking for input. Maybe people can give me measurements with their 4" lifts and i can compare it with my 3" lift. Maybe the difference in settling could put me close enough to be willing to try the hy-steer kit. Just spec out distance from the ground to the center highest spot of the front fender, just make sure to include tire size. thanks

You could try the rough country lift. FWIW, I remember installing one on a either a Rough Country or Tuff country, but he ran a 5" shackle up front for the extra lift needed. It would give you around 3.75" of lift. So, it should work.
If fit, but was tight.

i am running more than 3 inches but there in a big hump on the bottom of the oil pan in the 3.0 that is really not needed. you can cut that hump off of the oil pan (if yours has it) and and weld a flat plate on it and that will solve yous prob
