running on 2 cylinders

i just rebuilt my 22re motor. bottom end completely done. new pistons, crank turned, rods turned, bearings, etc. head was good when i put it all together. compression is good on all cylinders but its only running on cylinders 2 and 3. it is throwing code 12(knock sensor) which is new with a new ecu and sheilded wire. i also replaced plugs cap and wires and timed it all up. cant figure out why 1 and 4 wont fire.. any ideas?

Could be two of the injector connectors are not getting a connection to the ECU.

Have you tested the TPS?

ok i have come to the conclusion that fuel is not being recieved to the number one and four cylinders. lost on that because i have swapped injectors out and the ohm reading on the injectors is all 3. no change. and according to my wiring diagram injector 1 and 2 are on a circuit and 3 and 4 a circuit and injectors 2 and 3 are fine so unless the wires are broke between the splice in the harness i cant see how its electrial.. is my diagram wrong or am i missing something or confused?? the more i search the more i find strange

bad connections

Had the same thing happen to me whem I did a timing chain replacement. It turned out to be the little plugs that goes on the injectors, one of the wires pushed up onto the connector and was not going onto the injector body .
