High idle, delayed kickdown, occasional stalling

I have a '99 toyota 4runner 6 cylinder and it will idle very high as if it were extremely cold for like 15 minutes after it's started, when it used to kick down after 3 or 4 minutes. It's also stalling here and there at traffic lights ( only after it has warmed up and kicked down of course), not very often though. An ideas? Thanks!

I would start with testing the TPS.

Is there a simple way to test? I'm not experienced with auto electronics. Also which one is it, because I think the idle control sensor is also right there at the throttle body right?

The TPS is tested with a volt meter and comparing the readings to the FSM. The IAC is underneath the throttle body which can be cleaned.

Take your time adjusting it. It can be finicky

Go buy a 20-40 dollar Voltmeter. You will need it again some time
