I have a 98 tacoma ext cab SR5 v6 5spd 4x4 and was wondering if anyone has used Red Line 75W90 GL-5+ Gear Oil in their transfer case? I know its a hypoid oil but I have a couple quarts laying around and would like to use it if possible. will it cause any problems? If I shouldn't use this what should I use?

 

i use red line 75W90 GL-5 in the differentials and transfer case.. the users manual requires 75W90 for the differentials and transfer case

 

I've been using Amsoil 75w-90 in my xfer case for a couple of years now. No problems.

 

what i replaced mine with works just fine
