v6 heater problems

Alright it is starting to get cold now and the heater has some issues, if I have it to heat and have it on low hot air comes out, now I put it on high and it's hot for a bit and then cools down to regular air, and if I turn off for a while I can get hot air for another few seconds, I don't understand it one bit

Sounds like you are not getting full heating of the heater core.

Try burping your rad, then inspect the little valve on the firewall that controls the coolant movement into the heater core. If its not moving all the way back and forth you won't get fully hot/cold air.
