whooping noise....wheel bearing or U-joint perhaps?

If you have LT tires (Light Truck 8 ply sidewall and up) then you might have broken some belts in the tires or the tires are out of balance. If it were me, I would have the tires balanced, grease the u-joints while it is on the lift, drive it and see if it still happens.
