Frame rust repair

Just picked up an 82 4x4 but the frame has some big holes. The cab and bed mounts are also gone. Any links or pics of your repairs or ideas?

I am going to make new body mount tabs also.Any recomendations on the spring shackles? Mine look pretty bad but hopefully I can repair or replace.

It didnt happen if there are no pictures

Wife told me you called the wrong number when you picked it up. Glad to hear you finally got it, wish i could be there to help drink beer while you fix the frame. If you dont get to it before i get home let me know and ill come up and lend my two hands, and smart remarks.

Just so you know, i hate you... I really would love to have an old mini like yours and your friends whose name i cant remember... Looks good, cant wait to see it finished, and hell in person for that matter. Talked to wifey about the gears, its gonna be a go if i have 3.73s in hers. Keep up the good work, and maybe slow down so i could get my hands dirty helping you get the finished product.

that truck looks pretty good but I am not so sure your frame repair is done just yet.

looks like you still have couple of perforations near the body mount/rear spring mount on the left side...

Bands/fish plates work the best for fixing rust holes like that. Exactly what is shown in the pictures above is the correct method.
