The pickup, the slip yoke, and the post-wheelin' clunk
So I've got this 87 pickup with 33's, 4.88 gearing, and lockers. All that puts a lot of stress on my driveline, particularly since I drive the thing everywhere. So, predictably, my slip yoke throws goo all over my catalytic converter (which smells like death) and the thing clunks into every gear. My initial solution was to keep putting goo in the slip yoke, but it's getting old. Something has got to be done. I've been reading and reading and reading, and the internet is failing to provide me with the solution. Guys with Jeeps install an SYE, but it doesn't seem like anyone makes one for a Yota. I've heard a little bit about guys getting custom driveshafts or finding a double cardan driveshaft and jamming it in there. Sounds expensive and labor-intensive. So, keeping in mind that the thing's got to drive on road as well as off (eliminating Trail Gear's long travel driveshaft as an option), what am I to do?

Replace the slip yoke if it is worn out. Might be yours is pulled apart due to the lift so a little longer shaft and a new yoke would help make it work better.
Note, a SYE kit is to eliminate the slip yoke engagement into the back of the t-case on a Jeep. What is does is put a solid flange on the back of the case to which a flange on the drive shaft bolts then a slip yoke is put in the middle of the drive shaft (you need a slip yoke to handle the length changes as the suspension moves). The 4WD Toyota essentially have a SYE installed from the factory, but on the 2WD pickups, there is a slip yoke in the back of the transmission with a solid drive shaft to the rear axle.

Shock boot
Some Jeeps come with a boot over the slip yoke. Since these boots get torn from branches and Chrysler does not sell the boot seperate from the drive shaft, they put shock boots on. You might try that.
