conversion to flatbed

so i have a 1980 toyota pickup 4x4. it was absolutely perfect, i mean straight everywhere untill about a week ago someone backed into it and put a fat dent in the side of the bed. instead of fixing the bed i think i would like to put a flatbed on it. i have no clue how much it would cost, where i could find the needed stuff, etc, etc. i live in oregon so if anyone has any helpful tidbits i would be really glad to hear them.thanks
