Noob Gear Oil Question.

Can i use 75W-80 or 75W 90 for my front diff, rear diff and my transfer case ?

I'm trying to save a few bucks and i was wondering if i could get away using all same gear oil for all three.

Thanks everyone for the help it's been a rough ride with my runner lately.

And i was also wondering is Dextron 2 ATF fluid off limit's now ?

Ya i do have an automatic....4 Cyln 22RE , According to the service manual i just found, the 3VZ-E A/T V6 takes ATF fluid in the transfer case. That doesn't apply to me.

I have not seen Dexron II for many years. Dexron III replaced it. Since licensing restrictions prevent the use of the Dexron III name, you will see it labled as DEX/MERC by most manufactures.

I have a 94 4WD auto tranny, I use the following....

Both differentials, 80W90 GL5
Transfer case, 75W90 GL5
Auto Tranny, Castrol DEX/MERC
