Coil Springs
#1
Hey everyone I was at a parts yard today and i saw some coil springs i was thinking of getting for my 1991 4runner. I found lots of springs that would fit, but there was one pair that was a bit thicker then the rest. I was wondering if the V6 had thicker coils then the 22re. And if so will they fit the 22re. I dont know if it matters but the thick ones had blue marks and the thinner ones had yellow markings.

If were talking coil springs? The 86-95 trucks had torsion bars, and as far as I know there is no difference in coil springs from 22re/v6 for the rear

Maybe let us know the height and we can compare. also add if they are sprung or unsprung.
i could measure my ome 900 sprung and my stocks unsprung for references.
and hrm, your 91 4runner has leafs in the back not coils dosen't it?

All 2nd gen (1990-95) 4Runners rolled out of the factory on coil springs. V6 and 4cyls had the same rear coils. Springs are pretty carefully tuned to the weights of vehicles, so I wouldnt think you'd get a very good ride out of any old random set of springs.

My 91 has torsion bars and rear coils. I know the stock coils are 13" i have not measured the blue ones but they are the same length as the yellow ones when u set them next to each other they are just thicker in diameter.
