Search first.
Some things to consider:
- Gear ratio mismatch with the Toyota rear, 4.88 or 5.29 are your two options closest to that. Probably OK off-road, but forget any use on pavement.
- Lots of little things that people forget about are any connections between the metric/Toyota parts and the standard axle, like steering, brake lines, drive shaft, spring perch width, axle width and offsets, etc.

Welcome to Yotatech.

TONS TONS TONS of information out there on a Toyota SAS. Please do search a bit.

10 bolt is a terrible choice.

Ya see that's the thing

The info you want for swaps of this nature have been covered here and other sites tons of times and by now they are slightly beaten to death..

Some of us veterans are tired of spoon feeding this info to people like yourself who don't care to do a bit of searching and research before asking a verrrrry general question like you asked.

LONG STORY SHORT : Use the search button. Don't be afraid to use google either..

welcom to the site, but please....dont scare us lol and like wab said, 10 bolt GM is a horrible choice... and the thought of a 3.slow swap makes me gag. if your going to swap in a 3.0 just save up a few more bucks and do a 3.4.. its pretty much the same swap only easier from what i have heard and more POWER!

and if you search, you will enough info on a SAS or SAC to fill a encyclopedia.
