cheepest way to lift my 4runner

So currently i'm running stock suspension on my 1992 toyota 4runner auto tranny and i want to lift my truck i've got 33x12.5x15 BFG t/a's on it right now and they rub pretty bad on the bottom of the front wheel wells when i turn the wheel too sharp!! i know their big tires but i got a good price on them and needed new tires. anyway my friend told me to get some fj crusier back springs and put them on then buy performance tortion bars and crank them as high as they go!! i dont know if thats a good idea. can anyone help me find a good suspension lift for under $600 i dont make a lot of $ but i love to go 4 wheelin!!! any help would be greatly appreshiated!!

FJ80 coils, not fj cruiser. get ball joint spacers instead of the torsion bars.Cranking the torsion bars will give you a horrible ride. BJ spacers will affect the ride, but not as much. but with that kind of lift, you'll need loonger shocks, panhard bar drop bracket and maybe longer brake lines. All this can be had for well under $600. Or you could do a body lift...

...or try hammering the pinch welds in the wheel wells..

hey 4crawler, thanks for the BJ spacers. Got em monday, had em in that afternoon. I was able to relax my torsion bars just a little to level it out and it made a huge difference in ride quality. Thanks!

FJ80 coils come on FJ-80 Land Cruisers. Best option for those is a junk yard:

Lots of threads here on Yotatech on the swap, what shocks to use, etc. Use the Search link at the top to find out more.

I was wondering why everybody was thinking you were a dude.
I'm guessing either you're British or your name is Britney...maybe both.

Either way, where all have you looked for the coils?
I would check out the people at YotaYard and shoot them an email - amazing customer service and very competitive pricing, quick shipping also.

They will usually reply within 12 hours, sometimes even on the weekends.

Give them a shot and see what you can come up with.
Tell them you're a member of YotaTech and maybe they'll hook you up with a discount...?

Good luck,

Fink
