I guess #1. Do you have any other options - I'm not wild about either one really.

Neither is functional - they look like they would do more damage in a collision than without the grill guards. I'd go with the first one as it doesn't look like every oter truck out on the street.

I like the look of the 1st one.
But like everyone else said, if it's for function - save your money and wait until a more sturdy bumper comes out.

<--------- As you can see I have a WAAG and it's given me a few headaches. I am looking forward to getting rid of it.

I have to be honest...if you are looking for something to mount lights on then either one is fine...If you are looking for something to protect you if you hit something, neither one is going to do anything, actually they are going to do more damage.

Just my $.02

Mike

I agree with that. I'd say wait for ARB to come out with something.

If things are perfect and you never get hit it'll be just fine for you. Even if you get hit/hit someone at very low speeds then you're good there too.

If you're looking at other things it's just a large headache. I hope you don't have your heart set on it cause I've had minor things like a parking light bulb blow and then I've had to remove the entire thing to get to it.

<------ you'll notice now that the headlight guards are gone now.

All in all, I like the look it gives my truck but am definitely ready to get rid of it. I have a nice dent and scratch combo I got from another Tacoma driver that cut me off in the freeway

I don't think he wants a tjm/arb, nor does he want to spend $800.(I'm almost positive) I'd go with the first one because in the even of an accident, it will have the same protection of the second, without dammaging the whole front of the vehicle. Not a huge fan of the chrome, but thats probably an option. I used to love the looks of the second one, but the headlights on the 4th gen are so far apart I think it looks goofy. You can mount some aux lighting on both, so I'd go with the first one. Good luck

btw, welcomd aboard! if you stay around get used to having a light back pocket. Its a good thing though, its better for your back to have a thin wallet!
