Replacing rear window relay

I've been researching this for days. The rear window on my 95 4runner wouldn't go down. We jumped the motor with a spare battery and the window worked fine. So we know it is the relay. I've read some of the repairs that have been done, and replacing them with new relays seems like the best solution. I like that people have found better relays from other companies and installed them themselves. I would like to get the part numbers for my relays. However on the internet I can only find details about the replacement repair for older models of the 2nd gen 4Runner. One's that have 4 relays. Mine has 6. Its the blue relay box. Has anyone done this repair on the same model as mine? Are the relays the same, just more of them?

Cool

gennygirl,

I'm afraid I can't help you with your 95, but I have an 85 and the window won't go down from the switch in the cab. It will if I go outside and use the key. Can you easily recall some of the site you found information at that may help me?

Just curious, but did you try cleaning the switch first? I tore my relay box apart looking for a reason why my window wouldn't go down and it ended up being a dirty switch. Cleaned the switch and it works like new.
