5.0l swap flywheel question

Ok, i have a 87 5.0l and a R151 going in my 85. I have nwof bellhousing kit, and nwof is telling me i need a 164 tooth flywheel, but it's hard to find.
Does anyone know where i can get one? really what ford car or truck they came in. NMOF whats 600 BUCKS!! for a 164 tooth flywheel and thats just stupid!!
I would also like to run a ford motorsports clutch with the centerforce disk that nwof sent me....will this work??
I'm so close to getting the truck done and this is really stumping me. Any info from you guys that have done this swap would be awsome!!

Should have went with AA

I dont know about the Ford, but with my chevy swap, the clutch disk was special made, the disk was sized to fit the 10.5" Chevy pressure plate, while the splines were made to fit the R150 trans. So, you can use a stock Ford pressure plate but the clutch disk has to be custom.

I bought my flywheel at O'riley. Cheap.

You NEED to figure out what clutch disk you are running. That HAS to match up with the flywheel.

A quick google search tells me that a 89 F150 with the 5.0 has a 164 tooth flywheel with a 11" clutch surface. Part number E8TR-AA from ford

O'Riley shows a flexplate for the 89 F150 for $60. Just go there, ask them to bring them what you have, count the flywheel's teetch and the friction surface. Thats what I did.

I would have went with AA, but they dont sell a bell for a ford to toy. even though AA makes the bell for nwor.

The clutch disk that came in the kit is a centerforce 10.5 inch clutch with a r-series hub and ford style friction disk. i also found the flywheel you found but a carquest, and the guy at the counter said his info showed 157 tooth. I think he was wrong cause i have read that 86 or 87 -93 f150's are 164 tooth.
I think i can get a flywheel and pressure plate for that year f150, and just put the 10.5 disk with it. The disk it self would just be a 1/4 inch shorter all around the flywheel disk surface. What you think???

Buy a Fidanza aluminum flywheel. They come with either 28oz or 50oz counter balance that you can bolt on. I have one in my Mustang and it is great product but pricey.

Im after good products at good prices. factory ford flywheel and fordmotor sports pressure plate are good products and priced good as well, its just harder to find the flywheel. i found just the 164 tooth ring gear for like 30 buck and i can press it on a factory 50 oz. ford flywheel.

alright, i found a 164 tooth flywheel at carquest ment for a 90 ford f-150 and the matching clutch. i just need to toss the disk in the ford kit for my centerforce disk.
I will paint under the hood this weekend and mate the motor and tranny to see how they fit in the truck.
